That has ZERO usable information inside of it to denote what account it refers to. It creates some sort of UID MicrosoftOffice16_Data:OAUTH2:xxxxxxxxxxxxx The Outlook accounts I'm creating aren't identified in the Credential Manager so there's no way to possibly delete a set of credentials by hand. I should note that your new nifty Credential Manager? It's junk. I can't even create a FAKE account for the domain because this ghosted information is blocking the entire domain.

It creates an OST but fails on everything else so it has the server information and is STILL failing on the password despite me just adding anĪccount out of nothing. UPDATE> Outlook is without a doubt GHOSTING information from the account I couldn't update the password for. Ost or credentials in the credentials manager! No account or ost inside outlook or C:\Users\ME\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook. I'm currently using webmail for the affected account because outlook refuses to add my account back as it still has ghosted information somewhere that has the wrong password for the account even though there is no (I deleted it in frustration when IĬouldn't change the credentials for it via outlook and now I can't even add the account back let alone change credentials). There are NO credentials in windows for Outlook 2019 for the account that I cannot readd to Outlook and Outlook will only half way add the IMAP email account that I need to readd back. Thanks Doug, that did the trick, it should be easier than this though. Visit the dedicated forum to share, explore and talk to experts about Microsoft Teams. Thanks again for this important information. We would do more confirmation on Outlook 2019 and check if creating a new account would delete the contacts and calendars from the other profiles. This information should be mentioned as well.Įllen Lehnert, MVP, PMP, MCT Training/Consulting/Author Hi Ellen, The tech help i spoke with should have mentioned that creating a new account would delete the contacts and calendars from the other profiles and they did not.

As an MVP I know that getting this type of information to the product team is important. However, my purpose for posting the problem is that you should be able to change a password on a email account and Office 2019 did not allow me to do that. As i mentioned in my post, the problem is fixed.
